Black Forest Analysis
The style of Black Forest is similar to Sylvia Plath’s style in that it does not have a rhyme scheme, particular flow, or certain number of words per line. Plath’s work tends to be full of imagery and to have a slightly darker side than many poets, and I attempted to capture that essence in my poem. The mood of “Mirror” is very lonely and desolate, and I tried to create a piece which reflected that.
